Feng Xue, head of Katten's China practice and managing partner of the firm's Shanghai office, and James Calder, partner in the Antitrust and Competition practice, will participate in the China General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) Chicago's 2019 Annual Gala on Tuesday, September 17. Feng will present "China-funded enterprises in the US Greenfield investments," sharing his past project experiences in helping Chinese clients with some significant US investment deals, and James will share his experiences in serving clients facing the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) investigations.
The gala, themed "Synergy" and in partnership with World Business Chicago, will include eight sessions, including an investment forum, high-level armchair discussions, a showcase of Invest in the Midwest, and an award ceremony. As 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of China–US diplomatic ties, the event further promotes China–US bilateral relations.
