NEW YORK – Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is pleased to announce that Doron Goldstein has joined the firm as a New York-based partner in the Intellectual Property Practice. Mr. Goldstein comes to Katten from the New York office of Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP, where he was a member of the Information Technology and Intellectual Property Transactions, Media and Entertainment, M&A and Secured Finance groups.
Mr. Goldstein’s practice encompasses intellectual property, information technology and advertising, marketing and branded entertainment transactions and counseling, including privacy and information security, trademark, copyright, software and technology matters. He regularly advises clients on various aspects of integrated marketing campaigns, including talent and production agreements, advertising agency relationships, user-generated content, Internet distribution, brand and product integration, sponsorships and promotions.
Mr. Goldstein has worked extensively with companies in industries including consumer electronics, chemical manufacturing, information technology and biotechnology on licensing and establishing joint ventures and strategic alliances to exploit intellectual property and technology. He has also advised clients in complex royalty sales and intellectual property and whole business securitizations, as well as with respect to intellectual property concerns in bankruptcy.
Mr. Goldstein was a founder and managing partner of Drummer Associates, a computer consulting and Internet marketing firm that counted among its clients SmithKline Beecham (now part of GlaxoSmithKline) and UNESCO.
Mr. Goldstein received his Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University in Canada and his Bachelor of Civil Law and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the McGill University Faculty of Law.
