About Peter David Ballance

Peter Ballance represents lenders, borrowers, developers and property owners in a wide range of commercial real estate transactions. He has particular experience in commercial real estate financing and in the purchase and sale of improved and unimproved real property throughout the country.

Real estate transactions of all kinds

Representing institutional lenders, financial institutions, developers and property owners, Peter is familiar with many forms of financing, acquisition and disposition transactions. He is fluent in securitized lending, mezzanine loans, construction loans and workouts in connection with distressed properties. His transactions have touched on a wide range of property types, including office, industrial, residential, multifamily and retail.

In addition to his financing, disposition and acquisition work, Peter conducts lease negotiations for landlords and tenants at office, industrial and retail properties. He also handles a wide variety of legal issues that arise in connection with the ownership and operation of real property.

Peter serves as a co-chair of Katten's LGBT Coalition and is active in several community and law firm diversity initiatives.
