Arthur Hahn, co-head of the Financial Services group, was interviewed on regulation in the financial services industry in 2016. He addressed how the government has an obligation to protect its citizenry, to regulate activities that happen within its borders. He said, "The issues that are going to arise are going to happen in the atmosphere (the cloud) and not in the pits in Chicago. Therefore governments won't move quickly, not because they want to stop market evolution, but because they can't get their legal heads around what authority they have to reach activities that are arguably not in their jurisdiction."
