About Caleb T. Holtz

Caleb Holtz works primarily with residential real estate developers in the acquisition and development of apartment developments, often with an affordability component. He handles transactions across the country, assisting with both sales and acquisitions of developments of all sizes. Additionally, Caleb counsels lenders and investors in the financing of a broad range of residential developments.

Making the client's goals a top priority

Caleb's practice is diverse, having worked with large developers on acquisitions and dispositions of both market-rate and affordable residential projects, as well as commercial spaces. This relatively broad experience gives him a deep understanding of how residential real estate transactions happen in a variety of settings. Caleb particularly enjoys working with apartment developers, as he appreciates their goal of providing quality housing to everyone who needs it.

Prior to joining Katten, Caleb worked with large affordable housing project developers on the acquisition, development and sale of projects across the country, with a primary focus on developments utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and tax-exempt bond financing. This included both ground-up developments and acquisitions of existing projects.
