Jennifer Howard primarily represents business development companies (BDCs), registered closed-end funds (CEFs) and other public and private entities in connection with their efforts to raise capital and launch market operations. Jenn’s background positions her to provide clients with valuable assistance in connection with securities offerings and pragmatic regulatory advice.

Helping clients raise capital and address regulatory challenges

Jenn works with clients on a broad range of public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, including cross-border transactions for domestic and foreign entities. She regularly advises clients on corporate governance matters and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting obligations. She also works with leading financial institutions to set up capital call and subscription line credit facilities and relies on the depth of her fund formation background to provide unique insight to lenders on related structuring issues.

Prior to joining Katten, Jenn was an associate in the capital markets and investments practice of a major international law firm, where she focused on transactional, structuring and regulatory matters for BDCs, CEFs and other public and private entities.
