About Stacy E. Tecklin
Stacy Tecklin brings more than 20 years of experience to her sophisticated distressed debt practice. She represents buyers and sellers of distressed loans on the secondary market, as well as bankruptcy trade claims. Her clients include hedge funds and special situation investors of all sizes that focus on alternative investments.
Transactions closed efficiently and cost-effectively
Stacy's banking and general corporate background gives her a distinct advantage in the distressed debt space. She assists in virtually all aspects of distressed debt transactions, beginning with the diligence process and including an analysis of case information if the debtor is in bankruptcy. She also advises on the liquidity of the asset in question, analyzing where necessary the applicability of restructuring support and forbearance agreements. Stacy advises clients on credit monitoring and the transferability of post-reorganization assets, whether cash, debt or equity.
As the former general counsel of a portfolio company, Stacy also knows what it's like to sit on the client side of the table. Her responsibilities included guiding the board of directors through a Chapter 11 filing and subsequent reorganization, which enhances her understanding of the bankruptcy process.
Stacy is an active member of the Loan Syndication and Trading Association (LSTA) and serves on the LSTA Trade Practices and Forms Committee.
