Review’s UK Trademarks Rankings 2025
The firm and Nathan Smith were both recognized
by World IP Review’s (WIPR) second UK Trademark
Rankings of leading firms and practitioners.
Katten was honored with Recommended firm
status, while Nathan was named a Recommended
individual. These rankings are intended to provide
a thorough overview of the leading law firms and
practitioners in the UK trademark industry.
• David Halberstadter Named to The Daily
Journal’s Top IP Lawyers List
On April 2, David Halberstadter was named
to The Daily Journal’s list of Top IP Lawyers.
The annual list honors California’s leading
lawyers in the patent litigation, trademark and
copyright fields. David has received this accolade
consecutively each year since 2018, recognizing
his illustrious career spanning 40 years in IP
law that encompasses high-profile copyright
cases and entertainment industry disputes. The
Daily Journal noted several of David’s career
highlights, including recently securing summary
judgment for Lions Gate Entertainment and Starz
Entertainment in a copyright infringement case
involving the television series “P-Valley.”
• Karen Artz Ash and Floyd Mandell Recognized as
2025 World Trademark Review Global Leaders
Karen Artz Ash and Floyd Mandell were named
among World Trademark Review’s (WTR) Global
Leaders 2025. This accolade features the world’s
foremost law firms and corporate attorneys in
trademark law, drawing on WTR’s market-leading
research projects, such as the WTR 1000 and
the WTR 300, to recognize the “best of the best”
were also featured in the 2025 edition of WTR
1000, which identifies the leading trademark
practitioners and firms in key jurisdictions
worldwide.
The Global Leaders distinction is in addition to a
long list of honors received by Karen and Floyd
over the years, including numerous Chambers
USA awards, Law360 MVP Awards, 500 Leading
Lawyers in America by Lawdragon, Intellectual
Property Trailblazers by the National Law Journal,
IP Stars by Managing Intellectual Property, Best
Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers and The Legal
500 United States.
• Karen Artz Ash Assumes Key Leadership Roles in
Multiple Community Organizations
Karen Artz Ash was recently appointed to
multiple leadership roles for community and
service organizations. She was elected to the
New York/New Jersey Regional Board of the Anti-
Defamation League (ADL), re-elected to both the
Executive Committee of the Board and as Chair of
the Board Nominations Committee at Volunteers
of Legal Service (VOLS), and re-elected to the
Board of Trustees of the New York Choral Society.
These appointments reflect Karen’s ongoing
leadership and commitment to supporting
community service across many causes.
