SCALING UP IMPACT

            How Katten’s Service Is Helping


            Organizations Make a Broader Impact








                   While many attorneys work directly with individual
                   clients through partnering organizations, others serve
                   the organizations themselves on everything from
                   developing organizational documents and acquiring
                   real estate to protecting intellectual property rights.
                   Attorneys from core practices support organizations,
                   including nonprofits and small businesses, in ways
                   that lead to broader impact and sometimes
                   economic stability and systemic change.

                   An example includes the cornerstone of an economic
                   recovery effort through Katten’s pro bono work assisting
                   an established theater group acquire a new building in
                   suburban Chicago.  Additionally, private practice and
                   in-house counsel collaborations enable legal teams
                   to take on more matters for legal services agencies.
                   Nationally, a coalition of more than 90 law firms and
                   Fortune 1000 general counsel is helping mobilize pro
                   bono counsel to rapidly respond to Asian hate crimes.
                   And cross-firm initiatives leverage Katten resources
                   to address systemic injustices in targeted areas.

                   Tapping into group experience, building deeper
                   relationships with partnering organizations, and
                   leveraging talent and passion across the firm assures
                   Katten’s pro bono work leads not only to desired
                   results, but long-lasting impact.
