About Feng Xue

Feng Xue is head of Katten's China practice and managing partner of the firm's Shanghai office. A seasoned practitioner of corporate law in both US and China, he advises US clients doing business in China and Chinese clients doing business in the US or Europe. He works with companies and businesses of all sizes, facilitating deals and offering creative ways of achieving their business goals.

Experienced advice on Chinese deals

Feng's years of experience with many different deals, across many different industries, means that he can speak the language of his clients' business, in addition to Chinese and English. He not only advises many companies as outside counsel, but sits on the boards of several Chinese companies and serves as general counsel to dozens of private equity funds and technology companies doing business in China. His familiarity with the many business opportunities there helps his clients find the right path to getting their deals done.

Feng is able to advise clients on the intricacies of Chinese law because he knows it so well. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a senior legislative officer for the Legislative Affairs Commission and Law Committee of the Chinese National People's Congress, where he participated in drafting Chinese national legislation. He has also co-authored "Laws of the People's Republic of China," Volumes III, IV, and V, published by China Science Press, and "Western Corporate Laws," published by China Law Press.
