About John Krol
John Krol structures, negotiates, documents and closes commercial loan deals. He helps finance companies and banks make middle-market commercial loans, primarily for acquisitions and refinancings. He also helps borrowers in a wide range of industries secure the loans they need to grow their business. Before moving to private legal practice, John served as in-house counsel for a finance company, so he understands the pressures his clients are under and the common pitfalls financing deals face, as well as what his clients need from him in order to meet their goals.
Insight and perspective to close loan deals
John represents lenders and borrowers in connection with cash flow and asset-based credit facilities covering a variety of lending products, from secured and unsecured senior and mezzanine loans to debtor-in-possession financing and second lien financing. He counsels clients in all aspects of loan transactions, including structuring credit facilities, negotiating loan documents, handling intercreditor and subordination issues (including with respect to first lien/second lien and first out/last out structures), restructuring troubled credits, and enforcing rights and remedies. John has closed commercial loan transactions for Golub Capital, Antares Capital and Madison Capital Funding LLC, among others.
