About Krassi Zourkova

Krassi Zourkova focuses her practice in the areas of over-the-counter derivatives, hedge funds and private equity. She represents major funds, investment managers, proprietary trading firms, pension plans, governmental entities and other buy-side clients in structuring and negotiating the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), prime brokerage, repurchase, stock lending and other trading agreements. Krassi also advises major institutional clients on fund formation and on investments in hedge fund and private equity vehicles.

Cross-disciplinary approach to client service

Krassi's practice spans the financial services arena. With almost two decades of derivatives and fund experience, she advises asset managers at all stages of an entity's lifespan: from formation and structuring, through setup of active investment portfolios, to regulatory compliance and ongoing risk management. On the OTC side, she also counsels swap end users on highly tailored hedge structures in commercial lending, public finance, wealth management, securitizations and other corporate transactions.

A trade is never just a trade. It must fit a client's structure and risk/reward appetite. It should deliver only the desired outcome, no more and no less. Often what is most important is not even on the page. But it should be. Financial engineering — whether a swap structure or a web of investment vehicles — is all about a nuanced understanding of the risks involved. Krassi helps clients assess and minimize those risks, while navigating the ever evolving financial marketplace.
