In an interview with American Lawyer, Katten Chairman Gil Soffer discussed the firm's 2024 financial year, highlighting the 20 percent increase in profits per equity partner and a 10 percent increase in revenue, among other achievements.
"The markets and the economy generally played to our strengths," Gil said. "We just had increased demand for services in the areas where we are the strongest."
Katten's revenue hit $862.1 million in 2024, up 10.3 percent compared to $781.7 million in 2023. Revenue per lawyer was $1.3 million, an increase of 13.4 percent compared to the prior year.
Gil pointed out that firm revenue has grown by 70 percent over the last 10 years, with a 7.5 percent increase in revenue in the four full years since the COVID pandemic. He also noted that Katten's London affiliate office had its "strongest year ever."
