About Ashley T. Brines

Ashley Brines represents banks, credit unions, financial services providers, landlords and other companies in class actions and complex litigation. She has experience defending clients through all stages of litigation before trial courts in state and federal jurisdictions across the country, drafting appellate briefings before multiple US Courts of Appeals and defending clients in arbitration proceedings. She also has extensive experience litigating claims involving breach of contract, consumer protection, negligence, fraud, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other federal and state statutes. Ashley recently served as third chair in a jury trial in which Katten secured a defense verdict on behalf of our client.

Dedicated to serving others

Ashley maintains an active pro bono practice, including securing asylum in the United States for a client and his family, finalizing adoptions for various families, and drafting an amicus brief that was filed in the Washington Supreme Court on behalf of a nonprofit organization advocating for women's rights.

While in law school, Ashley served as a judicial extern for the Honorable John A. Kronstadt at the US District Court for the Central District of California. Ashley also participated in the UCLA Cappello Civil Trial Advocacy and Pretrial Civil Litigation clinics.
