Alan Brudner, New York Litigation partner and chair of the New York State Bar Association’s (NYSBA) Bioethical Issues Committee, will serve as a panelist in the Network for Public Health Law’s webinar, "COVID-19: Ethical Issues in the Management of COVID-19" at 3:00 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, June 25. Sponsored by the Network for Public Health Law, the NYSBA, the New York City Bar Association and other organizations, the program will include bioethics experts Dr. Joseph J. Fins, Nancy Neveloff Dubler and Brendan Parent. The program highlights legal and ethical issues relating to crisis standards of care; practical and ethical difficulties of triage: deciding who to treat when resources are insufficient to treat all who need care; limits of legal immunity; and concerns about healthy volunteer challenge trials for vaccine research.
