After litigating for two years at Katten, Dillon served as a law clerk for the Honorable Robert W. Lehrburger in the Southern District of New York.
While earning his JD, he was an editor for the Georgetown Law Journal, where he was awarded the Georgetown Law Journal Meritorious Service Award, which is presented to graduating members "whose hard work and spirit as non-Senior Board members made an outstanding contribution to the journal." He also interned at the US Securities and Exchange Commission in the Enforcement Division. Before law school, Dillon worked with a trading software company, gleaning insight into global capital markets and execution management for hedge funds, proprietary trading firms and broker-dealers.
