Dillon has helped lead internal investigations involving alleged violations of securities laws concerning exotic over-the-counter (OTC) equity options. He has particular experience in defense witness preparations for matters involving high-frequency and proprietary trading firms.

Versatile in tackling a diverse range of legal matters, Dillon's litigation experience extends to bankruptcy matters, commercial litigation and white-collar defense, including work relating to a False Claims Act investigation in the healthcare sphere.

Before law school, Dillon worked with a trading software company, gleaning insight into electronic trading, market data and compliance for large hedge funds, proprietary trading institutions and broker-dealers.

While earning his JD, he was an editor for the Georgetown Law Journal, where he was awarded the Georgetown Law Journal Meritorious Service Award, which is presented to graduating members "whose hard work and spirit as non-Senior Board members made an outstanding contribution to the journal." He also interned at the US Securities and Exchange Commission in the Enforcement Division.
