Katten Chair Gil Soffer published a commentary in Crain's Chicago Business discussing the firm's longstanding partnership with the Goodman Theatre and the important role that corporate-community collaborations play in sustaining the arts.
In the piece, Gil, a member of the Goodman Theatre's Board of Trustees, reflects on the cultural and economic value that arts institutions bring to Chicago, including driving foot traffic, creating jobs and making the city more attractive to employers and talent. He highlights The Goodman Theater's 100 Free Acts program, which provides cost-free community festivals, classes and workshops throughout the city. Gil also underscores Katten's commitment through its "Katten Cares" initiative and the Katten Muchin Rosenman Foundation, Inc., which has funded more than 300 cultural, charitable and nonprofit efforts, including the firm's Goodman sponsorship.
