Joanna leads and manages complex health care M&A transactions, with a focus on transactions involving management services organizations backed by a range of financial and strategic partners, physician practices, and other provider entities. She guides deals from the diligence stage through closing and post-closing integration, overseeing due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, and managing closing and post-closing deliverables. Joanna combines meticulous attention to detail with decisive execution, and serves as clients’ primary day-to-day contact throughout the life of a transaction and beyond.

Joanna also assists strategic investors, private equity-backed platforms, providers, and other health care companies in navigating the complex health care regulatory landscape by providing guidance on various aspects of regulatory compliance, including reimbursement under federal health care programs, corporate practice of medicine, licensing, HIPAA, and fraud and abuse laws, such as the Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute and the False Claims Act.
