About Julia L. Mazur

Julia Mazur focuses her litigation practice on various commercial forms of intellectual property and related commercial litigation. This includes trademarks, trade dress, trade secrets and more.

Protecting ideas and brands in many industries

Julia represents clients in a wide variety of industries, including food and beverage, technology, fashion, entertainment, and life sciences. She helps them through all phases of civil litigation, from pleadings and preliminary injunctions through mediation and trial in federal court or the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. She also regularly assists clients through trademark clearance and prelitigation enforcement and defense efforts.

Julia has been mentioned in several articles in professional journals regarding cases in which she played an active role. She co-authors the trademark chapter in the treatise titled Successful Partnering Between Inside and Outside Counsel published by the Association of Corporate Counsel.

Julia maintains an active pro bono practice, too. She helped secure the release of a client who had been wrongfully imprisoned for over 24 years. She has also applied her understanding of trademark law to counsel pro bono clients through their rebranding efforts and the federal and state trademark registration processes.

While in law school, Julia completed an externship with the Honorable Samuel Der-Yeghiayan of the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and worked at the Exoneration Project.
