Katten served as legal counsel to Gamut Capital Management, L.P., a New York-based middle market private equity firm, in its acquisition of Acousti Engineering Company, a specialty interiors contractor providing ceiling, drywall and flooring solutions for institutional and commercial markets across the Southeastern United States.

Founded in 1946, Acousti is one of the largest and most sophisticated interior finishes contractors, with operations spanning more than 15 metropolitan areas and serving diverse end markets including education, health care, amusement and recreation, transportation and municipalities. The acquisition will support Acousti's continued growth, with a focus on geographic expansion and a disciplined acquisition strategy.
