Creating harmony between technology and complex regulation

Larry has assisted a number of international online platforms with compliance of the UK's Online Safety Act; with his appreciation for in-house processes and admiration for innovative products, he offered practical solutions to meet the Online Safety Act’s standards. Larry has also assisted clients with the EU's Digital Services Act and EU AI Act, and relishes the opportunity to apply the law to emerging technologies. Larry helps clients with a wide range of regulations relevant to their digital platforms, with experience that also includes working on data privacy matters such privacy policies, cookie compliance and artificial intelligence (AI) issues.

Additionally, Larry offers pragmatic guidance to clients dealing with regulators and law enforcement agencies. He has dealt with a wide variety of regulators and law authorities, whether they are international or local, making him able to strategise with clients on regulatory engagement and communication.

Prior to joining Katten, Larry worked in the regulatory compliance team of the world's largest online betting company and led the regulatory approval efforts in the UK for an Estonian technology unicorn as well as handled public policy initiatives. His regulatory experience across various industries in the technology sector allows him to navigate nuanced regulatory frameworks with workable solutions.
