In an article about why he chose Katten, partner Stephen Morris spoke with Law360 about joining the firm's Financial Markets and Funds practice in New York. He plans to focus his practice on broker-dealer and futures commission merchant issues, as well as on emerging crypto matters.
On joining Katten, Stephen stated, "What really I think loomed large for me in considering the move to Katten was the opportunity to stretch a little bit, and to start getting out of this very comfortable zone I found myself in. At law firms, you don't get the easy questions, you get the harder ones but also the kind of obscure ones. There are lots of capable in-house lawyers who can field everything else. What they reach out for is the thing that will really stretch you."
