Dallas Managing Partner Mark Solomon was named to D CEO's 2022 edition of the Dallas 500, a recognition positioning him among the "most powerful and influential business leaders in North Texas."

The annual D CEO special edition involves months of research, editorial interviews by D CEO editors and illuminates the personal side of top business leaders in the region.

Mark's profile notes his developing interest in art and his favorite local food. While the present transaction environment is white hot, he described how the corporate group pivoted during the early months of the pandemic, saying, "Any slowdowns in deal-making were offset by clients' need for counsel on the nuances of pandemic-related developments such as PPP loans, employee issues, furloughs, and more."

As for the best advice he's received, Mark shared the Platinum Rule, a variation of the Golden Rule that inspires you to treat everyone how they want to be treated. This rule flips the paradigm, and means recognition that service isn't about what you want but rather what others want to receive.

Mark, who has more than 30 years of experience in corporate law, joined Katten in 2018 as the managing partner of its then new Dallas office, which in August was named by the Dallas Business Journal as one of the "Best Places to Work in North Texas."
