Renuka focuses her practice on complex patent disputes and strategic patent counseling within the life sciences industry. Renuka focuses on the drug approval process under the Hatch-Waxman Act and the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act (BPCIA), advising clients on Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) and biosimilar litigation helping them craft strategies for marketing drug and biologic/biosimilar products while also challenging patents under these regulatory frameworks. pursuant to the Hatch-Waxman Act and BPCIA. Renuka’s patent counseling involves assessing issues of invalidity and non-infringement for various types of patents.

Prior to joining Katten, Renuka worked as a legal extern at the City Attorney's office of Troy, Michigan. She also served as a student attorney for the Michigan Innocence Clinic and the Michigan Human Trafficking Clinic.
