(CHICAGO) Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP announced today that Kimberly T. Smith has returned to the firm as a partner and co-head of its nationwide Private Equity practice.
"Kim is a sharp, dynamic attorney with an excellent reputation that is evidenced by the many noteworthy transactions she has led. We are thrilled to have her back," said Mark R. Grossmann, global head of Katten's Corporate practice.
Smith counsels private equity firms and their portfolio companies in leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, divestitures and other matters. She provides general corporate counseling to companies in numerous industries and advises executives on compensation and equity-related matters. Smith first joined Katten in 1998 and was promoted to partner in 2006. She rejoins Katten from the Chicago office of Paul Hastings LLP and will serve as co-head of the nationwide Private Equity practice with partner Kenneth W. Miller.
