Katten will present its 2022 Credit Fund Forum in collaboration with RSM and VRC, featuring industry authorities and timely updates for credit funds and business development companies (BDCs). The program will be presented on Wednesday, October 19.
During the half-day Credit Fund and BDC forum, three panels will cover:
- A discussion of rates and economic data related to the private credit markets
- Key issues related to accounting, tax and valuation (including Rule 2a-5)
- Trends in fund formation and capital raising
- Regulatory developments
Parag Patel, VRC managing director of business development, will moderate the first panel, "Key Valuation Considerations and VRC Market Update," featuring Paul Bourke, VRC managing director; Amit Joshi, Apollo Debt Solutions chief financial officer; and Shane Newell, VRC managing director.
RSM partner Gireesh Chugh will moderate and Kevin Depew, RSM's deputy chief economist and industry analyst program leader, will headline the second program, "Economic Outlook: Navigating Regime Change: rising rates, slower growth and stubborn inflation."
Katten partner Vlad Bulkin, Regulated Funds, will moderate the third panel, "Current Trends in Credit Fund Formation and Regulation." The panel will feature Allison Yacker, partner and co-chair of Investment Management and Funds; Shiraz Kajee, New Mountain Capital managing director and credit chief financial officer; Ira Penza, Silver Point Capital; and Sajal Srivastava, TriplePoint Capital co-chief executive officer and co-founder.
