Partner Robert McLaughlin will speak at the Futures Industry Association's 30th annual Law & Compliance Division Workshop on Thursday, May 8, from 8:30–10:00 a.m., on the topic of "OTC Derivatives."
At the conference, compliance officers, attorneys, and regulators consider issues affecting the legal and regulatory framework of the derivatives industry. The "OTC Derivatives" session will discuss legal issues and recent developments involving OTC derivatives, including the status of OTC derivatives under the Commodity Exchange Act, issues relating to OTC transactions that look like listed products, policies for managing structured products, and new OTC products and documentation initiatives. There will also be a discussion regarding the issues posed in connection with the valuation of OTC derivative transactions.
