About Jean Varak

At Katten, upholding ethics and professional responsibility is a critical matter. Jean Varak, a firm partner and its chief professional standards officer, oversees our Conflicts of Interest Department, counseling attorneys and firm leadership in both areas. She provides practical and actionable advice to the firm’s administrative leadership to effectively implement strategic goals. She also works closely with the General Counsel team in the management of issues pertaining to risk, professional liability and in-house ethics education.
