Illinois Legal Aid Online, a nationally recognized, groundbreaking statewide technology center for legal services, has selected litigation partner Alyx Pattison as its Pro Bono Volunteer of the Month for July 2012. Each month the group highlights a member of the legal aid community who is doing exemplary work. Jonathan Baum, Katten's Director of Pro Bono Services, nominated Ms. Pattison for the recognition based on her perseverance and extensive pro bono efforts in cases regarding asylum and employment discrimination and appellate briefs involving major constitutional issues. Ms. Pattison, who focuses her pro bono work on the fight for women's rights, encourages others to become involved in representing people in need.
