About Amber Haggins

Amber Haggins is Katten's senior director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) and Talent. In this role, she collaborates with the executive Diversity Committee and other key partners to embed diversity, inclusion and cultural competency into the firm's day-to-day operations, including the hiring, development, retention and education of the firm's attorney and business professional populations. Amber also provides leadership and guidance to the firm's affinity groups, including the Women's Leadership Forum, Committee on Race and Ethnic Diversity, Partner Collective on Race and Ethnic Diversity, Katten Parents Affinity Group, Black Attorneys Affinity Group, and LGBTQ+ Coalition.

Experience rooted in diversity and the law

Amber brings to the table over 15 years of experience leading transformational change. She has helped organizations across industries to embed equitable practices and enhance their brands and workplace culture and performance. Amber is passionate about empowering individuals, organizations and communities to recognize their ability to create impactful change through inclusive environments, clear purpose and strong brands.

A former Amlaw 100 firm attorney, Amber previously served in leadership roles in professional services, government, and the aerospace industries, where she was responsible for driving the strategy and execution of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in alignment with business goals including talent acquisition, learning and development and retention.
