Allan B. Muchin, Founding Partner of Katten and Chairman Emeritus of the Noble Network of Charter Schools (Noble), was honored with Noble's inaugural Visionary Award on Friday, April 25, during its 25th Anniversary Gala held at The Field Museum in Chicago.

Allan, who co-founded the firm that bears his name and also helped found Noble, was recognized as the "bold, action-oriented, and unwavering leader our community needed," as former Noble CEO Constance Jones stated when presenting Allan with the award. She went on to describe Allan’s vision for Noble, which is "rooted in a deep belief that every student in Chicago deserves access to a free, high-quality public school education."

"He didn’t just talk about it — he embodied it," Jones said. "And he made sure I knew that to join him in this work, I had to share that same unwavering conviction for our kids."

Noble serves more than 12,000 students and 28,000 alumni across 17 open-enrollment public charter schools in Chicago, working to ensure that all students have equitable and positive school experiences that will prepare them for college and beyond.
