Katten's Women's Leadership Forum will serve as sponsor of the Girls on the Run Road Race on May 5 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Girls on the Run is a nonprofit organization. It's mission is to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. It is a 12 week curriculum based after school program for 8-12 year old girls. The curriculum focuses on character development by combining interactive workouts and training for a 5K with lessons that encourage the girls to achieve emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical health.
