IBA Annual Conference Miami 2022

Two Katten attorneys will speak during the IBA Annual Conference Miami 2022, the IBA's leading conference for legal professionals worldwide to meet, share knowledge, build contacts and develop business.

Joshua Rubenstein, national head of the firm's Private Wealth practice, will co-chair "The need for pre- and post-nuptial agreements (PNAs): can you trust trusts in international divorce cases?" session at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 31. The session will look at PNAs from an international perspective, and particularly why responsible trust structuring in tandem with PNA structuring may be the best approach to adopt.

Private Wealth partner Kathryn von Matthiessen will speak on the "Coming and going part 1: hello America - what the well-advised immigrant needs to know and do before they arrive" panel at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1. The session will cover the various tax and non-tax considerations that individuals should consider before becoming a US income tax resident.
