About Kathryn Van Sistine

Kathryn Van Sistine focuses her practice on private credit transactions. She is earnest and detail oriented in helping clients achieve their desired outcomes.

Earnest and conscientious attention to detail

During law school, Katie secured certificates in Health Law and Compliance. She leveraged this knowledge as a Wiet Health Law Fellow, earned second place in the national L. Edward Bryant, Jr. National Health Law Transactional Competition, and served as editor-in-chief and a published contributor of the Annals of Health Law and Life Sciences. She honed her skills as an extern in a federal health care agency and a nonprofit research hospital. She also developed foundational, CALI-award-winning Secured Transactions knowledge that she utilizes in her practice.

Katie is an active volunteer in the legal community. She serves on multiple committees and has undertaken leadership roles in the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys (IAHA), including the Law School Ambassador Coordinator, the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee and the Membership Committee. Katie serves the American Bar Association (ABA) Health Law Section as an HLbytes contributor and member of the eHealth, Privacy & Security Interest Group.
