(NEW YORK) Katten announced today that the firm’s Private Wealth practice received a Magic Circle Award from Citywealth in the category of Law Firm of the Year – USA.

"Being recognized as Law Firm of the Year – USA is a tremendous honor for our Private Wealth team," said Joshua Rubenstein, global chair of Katten's Private Wealth practice. "We represent ultra-high-net-worth clients in the most complex trust and estate matters, from planning to fiduciary litigation, and this award speaks to the confidence our clients place in us and the exceptional level of service and counsel we deliver."

Citywealth, a UK-based media company, hosted its annual Magic Circle Awards ceremony in London on May 13, honoring the top-performing advisors and managers in global private wealth. The awards spotlight leading law firms, private banks, trustees, accountants and multifamily offices advising ultra-high-net-worth clients worldwide. Nominations were evaluated by judges based on criteria including performance, technical skill, industry contributions, innovation, ethics and client testimonials, among other areas.

This year, Katten was also shortlisted for International Law Firm of the Year, with Rubenstein and Partner Ronni Davidowitz named as finalists in the Outstanding Individual of the Year and Woman of the Year categories, respectively.

Katten's Private Wealth practice unites three essential components — planning, administration and litigation — across local, national and international levels. The group advises clients on structuring trusts and inheritances, protecting assets, optimizing taxes, planning and implementing business succession strategies, integrating philanthropy into planning, administering complex estates, and resolving family conflicts, estate and trust disputes, and controversies with taxing and regulatory authorities.
