About Leah J. Kesselman
Leah Kesselman represents national mortgage lenders in complex real estate transactions financed with Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs) and tax-exempt bonds. She assists real estate owners and developers in connection with the acquisition and preservation of affordable housing assisted under various Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) multifamily programs. Leah's in-depth knowledge of HUD programs and regulatory issues enables her to effectively assist her clients.
Attention to detail leads to excellent results
Leah's experience includes representing owners and developers in obtaining the required HUD approvals for affordable housing transactions involving properties with project-based Section 8, tax credits, and Federal Housing Administration (FHA) loans. During law school, she served as the managing editor of The William & Mary Business Law Review, and honed strong legal writing skills and excellent attention to detail, as well as organized the Journal's first annual symposium.
