Lawyers of Color, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing equality in marginalized communities, has named Chief Diversity partner Leslie Minier to its inaugural Nation's Best list, recognizing her as among the nation's distinguished partners and senior-level attorneys of color who have shown a commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

"I'm very honored to receive this distinction," Leslie said. "With diversity as a core value at Katten, the recognition underscores our sustained commitment to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace culture, provide opportunities to diverse attorneys and empower them to continue upward on successful career paths."

Leslie has shown a strong commitment to public service. As founder and co-chair of Katten's Diversity Committee, she leads efforts to increase and maintain diversity at the firm. Leslie is also a member of several organizations working to promote greater inclusion for groups traditionally underrepresented in law, including the National Association of Women Lawyers and the Black Women Lawyers' Association of Greater Chicago. She is a former board member of the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois, the Chicago Bar Association Alliance for Women and the Joffrey Ballet.
