The New York Law Journal and Law.com recently announced the finalists and honorees for this year's New York Legal Awards. Associate Alexander Kim of the Financial Markets and Funds practice is this year's FinTech Rising Star honoree. The awards honor those whose dedication, innovation and leadership have profoundly impacted the legal profession across the state.
Alex advises digital asset trading platforms, blockchain companies, prediction market operators and other financial services firms on US federal and state regulatory, transactional and enforcement matters under Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and National Futures Association (NFA) requirements.
Alex is a recognized voice in the digital asset and derivatives regulation space. He received a top securities law author distinction in the 2026 JD Supra Readers' Choice Awards and the 2025 Mondaq Thought Leadership Award, publishes regularly in Bloomberg Law and other leading publications, and has spoken at marquee industry events, including the FIA Law & Compliance Division Conference, the ABA Derivatives & Futures Law Committee, and Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.
