About Oonagh L. Deasy

Oonagh Deasy focuses her practice on affordable housing and community development matters.  She represents national mortgage lenders, including agency lenders and financial institutions, in a broad range of complex real estate finance transactions. Her work focuses on construction and permanent lending utilizing tax-exempt bond and tax credit financing, ground lease and master lease structures, Section 8 and other project-based rental assistance, condominium regimes, state and local tax exemptions, and multiple layers of public and private funding sources. Oonagh also has substantial experience with respect to residential mortgage loan financings collateralized by mortgage servicing rights, excess servicing spread and servicing advance receivables and represents a government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) in connection with such transactions.

With over 13 years of experience at a GSE, Oonagh has extensive knowledge of public finance, structured finance and real estate transactions involving affordable multifamily housing using tax-exempt financing and single-family mortgage servicing rights financings.
