About Phil Wells

Phil Wells thinks commercially in every sense of the word. Having worked much of his legal career as in-house counsel for large and medium-size companies, he has learned what companies want — a business-minded attorney who not only helps assess and mitigate risk, but provides strategic planning guidance and contributes to the bottom line as well.

Sound business acumen

Phil has more than 15 years of experience serving clients in multiple industries. His experience includes serving as general counsel for the world’s largest contract food-service company’s North American division, and serving as counsel for a high-end furniture manufacturer and retailer where he spearheaded the negotiation, preparation and drafting of new store leases and ancillary documents, and successfully negotiated the purchase, sale and management of company real estate. In those roles and now, he brings analytical problem-solving skills to complex commercial transactions, contracts and compliance. He has also worked in business, negotiating contracts for big pharma. He has the business knowledge companies are looking for.
