About Silvia C. Montiel
Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and Private Equity Associate Silvia Montiel diligently brings a responsive and collaborative approach to client service, with an emphasis on building strong relationships and approaching complex issues with care and a detail-oriented eye.
Bringing a proactive and thorough approach to client matters
During law school, she served as executive editor of the Washington and Lee Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice, strengthening her legal research, writing and editing skills. She also gained hands-on experience advocating for clients facing complex legal issues through the Immigrant Rights Clinic and an externship at Blue Ridge Legal Services. Prior to attending law school, Silvia worked as a teacher, where she developed the communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills she brings to her practice. She spent two summers at Katten before joining the firm.
