Sue noted that if Donald Trump is elected, he is likely to repeal many of the rules passed over the last four years and follow the concepts in the Heritage Foundation's "Project 2025" report. On the other hand, Kamala Harris is likely to keep appointing regulators, such as the current Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Gary Gensler, who has "led one of the most aggressive rule-making agendas in decades."
