Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP's Committee on Racial and Ethnic Diversity will host a seminar entitled "Women of Color in Law Firms: The Need for Change & Strategies for Success" presented by the Chicago Bar Association's Alliance for Women, in conjunction with the Black Women Lawyers' Association of Greater Chicago, Inc. and the Chicago Committee on Minorities in Large Law Firms. The seminar will take place on Tuesday, December 11 from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m.
This program will provide an opportunity for law firms to discuss best practices for success of women of color attorneys. An update and recommendations from the Visible Invisibility Study, highlighting statistical and real life examples of obstacles women of color face in law firms, will be presented by one of the study's architects Dr. Arin Reeves of the Athens Group. Attendees will also hear an interactive panel discussion with Partner Leslie Minier and other women of color partners from various law firms on strategies for success.
