Drawing on his experience in complex government investigations and his tenure as Associate Deputy Attorney General at the Department of Justice, Gil will discuss the Trump administration’s stated enforcement priorities and its pullback from longstanding initiatives, most notably FCPA enforcement. The presentation will also explore how widespread staffing reductions across enforcement agencies are affecting investigations and prosecutorial decision-making. - Trump administration’s stated priorities. How does this compare to reality? And what has been the effect of the exodus of government personnel (forced and voluntary) on investigations and prosecutions?
