Financial Markets and Regulation Partner and Co-Chair Carl Kennedy will co-present the “Prediction Markets: What’s the Future of Futures?” session at the 2026 SBC Summit Americas | Prediction Markets Forum on Thursday, June 11, from 1:40–2:20 p.m. (ET).
In this session, the presenters will discuss why event contracts (and the broader rise of prediction markets) appear poised to be a lasting force in sports betting, highlighted by the recent resignation of multiple leading sportsbooks from the American Gaming Association (AGA). The conversation will also cover how these products could reshape the betting landscape and what legal and regulatory developments to watch (including where the Supreme Court may ultimately land). Finally, the panel will examine how both land-based operators and online sportsbooks may be affected, from protecting existing revenue streams to identifying potential new growth opportunities.
