Two Katten attorneys will be panelists during the American Bar Association's 31st Annual National Institute on White Collar Crime.
Gil Soffer, national co-chair of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, will participate in the "Significant Legal Developments in the Regions—Central and Midwest" session on Wednesday, March 8 from 9:00–10:30 a.m. The panel will discuss new developments and trends in the region to better inform attorneys of case opportunities, as well as the strategies and arguments being used in litigating these cases.
Environmental and Workplace Safety partner Nadira Clarke will serve as a panelist during the "2017 and Beyond: Environmental Crimes Enforcement Trends" session on Wednesday, March 8 from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. The panel will:
- discuss the US Department of Justice's future enforcement priorities.
- provide insights into recent enforcement actions.
- underscore how the above cases illustrate effective corporate responses to criminal conduct, as affirmed by the Yates Memo and the recent expansion of the Worker Endangerment Initiative.
