Partner Sheldon T. Zenner will serve as moderator for a panel discussion on “Aiders and Abettors: Indirect Focus has Direct Consequences” on Thursday, September 28 at 2:00 p.m. This panel will examine the government’s recent focus on lawyers, accountants, bankers and business partners who have found themselves in the cross-hairs because of the motives of others. The discussion will address aiding and abetting primary violators by both individual and corporate defendants and will discuss a range of issues including: the candor of evidence of other’s motives, due diligence responsibilities of parties to transactions, the jury appeal of charging minor participants, and the lack of motive of many aiders and abettors.
