Partner Joshua Rubenstein Authors Article in Trusts & Estates on Congress and Estate Tax

Joshua Rubenstein, Chair of the firm’s Trusts and Estates Practice, authored an article in Trusts & Estates magazine on what effect the midterm election results might have on the federal estate tax. “On the one hand, if a patch, let alone reform, couldn’t be passed while the Democrats controlled both sides of Congress, it’s difficult to see how split control of Congress bodes well for action,” Mr. Rubenstein writes. “On the other hand, perhaps the Democrats, in this lame duck session, may be more motivated to get something done before they lose control of the House.” (“Election Results Are In...So Where Does That Leave The Estate Tax?” November 9, 2010)
