(NEW YORK) Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP is pleased to announce that partners James Calder and Timothy Lynes have won 2012 International Law Office (ILO) Client Choice Awards. Mr. Lynes received the award for Aviation Law in the United States and Mr. Calder received the award for Competition Law in the United States. The awards are based exclusively on client nominations and recommendations.
Established in 2005, the ILO Client Choice Awards recognize those law firms and partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client care they provide and the quality of their service. This year, ILO recognized 303 individual winners across 55 jurisdictions, chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments.
Mr. Calder, a partner in Katten’s New York office, is Co-Chair of the firm’s Antitrust and Competition Practice. Mr. Calder’s antitrust practice includes litigation, counseling and responding to government antitrust investigations. He represents parties to U.S. and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and also structures domestic and international joint ventures. He has represented clients in more than 30 different industries.
“In a profession based on service to one’s clients, it is especially gratifying to receive this award,” said Mr. Calder.
Mr. Lynes, a partner in Katten’s Washington, D.C., office, is Chair of the firm’s Aviation Practice. He has represented manufacturers, lessors, airlines and their insurers for more than 25 years. Mr. Lynes regularly advises clients on Department of Transportation and Federal Aviation Administration regulatory issues.
