Partner and Financial Markets and Regulation Co-Chair Carl Kennedy spoke with Bloomberg Law regarding what Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chair nominee Brian Quintenz could be up against once confirmed. Carl noted, "At some point, Brian may be the only commissioner. By year-end, he will have a lot on his plate and will be the only commissioner tasked with having to address full agency action." The five-person commission is likely to have only one commissioner following the upcoming departure of its two remaining commissioners.
